Bob Egan is a pop culture expert and founder of the popular website PopSpotsNYC.com for which he tracks down the long lost locations of class album covers. Between his site and the PopSpots Facebook page, he has uncovered the locations over 100 album covers from Bob Dylan and Neil Young to the Ramones.
As long time resident of both Greenwich Village and The Upper West Side, Bob is well versed in the history of folk, and folk-rock music of the 50s and 60’s He also has an extensive background in Beat Generation personalities like Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. As a writer/chronicler Bob wrote the first guidebook on New York City Bookstore: The Bookstore Book.
Bob has been interviewed by media all over the world and recently made promotional videos for Bob Dylan and Billy Joel about the locations of their covers for Columbia Records.
To figure out the route to the 60-Minute MET Tour Bob visited the Met over 50 times last year.
Bob lives on the Upper West Side with his wife, Louise, a language consultant for Foreign speakers of English and their families.
