Stand in the exact spot where over 100 of your favorite movie scenes were filmed or rock and roll photos or album covers were taken. It’s a 1+1/2 hour tour starting at The Dakota (72nd and Central Park West) and ending at the Alice in Wonderland Statue (near 73rd Street and Fifth Ave).
Among the featured musicians: John and Yoko, Billy Joel, Mitch Ryder, The Dave Clark 5, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, the Lovin’ Spoonful, Herman’s Hermits, and many more.
We’ll pass picturesque Bow Bridge, Bethesda Fountain, The Mall, and the Bandshell, the Loeb Boathouse, the Sailboat Pond and the Alice in Wonderland Statue, where you can sit right where Jimi Hendrix sat in a photo by Linda Eastman.
Along the way, we’ll see the location of over 25 movies including Enchanted, Godspell, Made in Manhattan, Spiderman 3, Home Alone 2, When Harry Met Sally, Big Daddy and many more. Guests will be given a Xeroexed set of photos of the movie scenes and album covers that we are discussing for reference.
